La Casa Amiga

It is a place to help our Hispanic residents and newcomers to gain access to the services they need and to become active participants of the community. We provide free ESL classes for anyone who does not speak English as their first language, free computer classes, internet service, interpreting services, free baby and toddler clothing, a bilingual lending library, a weekly bilingual story hour with hands on activity, help with homework and enrolling children in school from Head Start on up, a summer tutoring program, translations, help with WIC, Health Dept. and medical appointments, a yearly Hispanic Festival located at the Broadway Fountain, etc.

La Casa Amiga is also a place for the community to appreciate what other cultures bring to us. Our main goal is to help improve the lives of our new immigrants and thus our Jefferson County community as a whole.
